Non-PL Discussion

Well, meh. He isn't great, they missed not only promotion but actually finished only 4th. (First and second can't get promoted - one is Salzburgs second team, BW Linz doesn't have the stadium, infrstructure or finances to get promoted). They were sitting in 3rd for weeks - which would have meant promotion playoff match against last place in first division but lost on the last matchday to the 8th Placed U23s of Lask Linz.

The league is a semi-professional graveyard, half the clubs aren't allowed to get promoted, 1/4 of the teams are U23s, basically no-one from our non professional 3rd divisions wants or is able to get promoted, there is no money or interest in the league. At least it's now filled with former notable clubs - one of which gained promotion in Austria Klagenfurth by winning their last game and the promotion games against St Pölten (4:0 and 0:1 wins).

But yeah - if the Mäzen leaves Bierofka is gone. The team overall was disappointing. They signed the by far best Striker in the league (kinda like Terrode in Germany), a few experienced players but still had a lot of youth products feature. The goal was promotion - especially after it was clear that even 3rd place was enough and they missed it.
