No not never watched but I mean maybe watched movies as a kid but found them uninteresting or boring later in life.

Imagine the guy has seen movies it’s just that he had a movie director phase when he was a teenager where he learned the how movies are shot, edited, and produced so when I see them it all seems very artificial.

But besides that ok what if the guy didn’t force you to not watch movies but when you wanted to chill instead of watching Netflix. Like he let you watch the Netflix but he’s busy chilling but without blocking your view.

Or alternatively what if there were scenes that got your emotional and he’s just sitting there nonchalantly explaining how they likely shot the scene or pointing out mistakes and inconsistencies.
