Non-trans gay people, how do you feel about trans people who are exclusively attracted to the opposite natal sex calling themselves gay.

I consider myself gay due to the fact that I have just come to terms with the fact that I'm not attracted to women, trans or not.

Has nothing to do with 'hating women' or even hating lesbians, and I thought I liked girls due to being socialized online that wlw were pure and cute and need protection from cis men. The protection part is true, but I don't have to be attracted to women to them to have rights.

The other argument being that I must be fetishizing gay men, but I feel I've also been combating that line of thought given how many cis straight females I refuse to interact with in fandom due to their gross behavior. I also don't feel entitled to any gay man's interest, just as I wouldn't want to be pursued by a woman or straight man, for different reasons.

'Heterosexual' feels meh, but I suppose it'd be clinically correct. The main compromise I've seen is perhaps using 'achillean' to describe what I mean, though in casual use 'gay' has started to mean any mlm/wlw interaction even if the ones involved are bi. Like many terms, the 'male term' is used for all (gay man or woman) while 'lesbian' has to other women into their own label. I mean, on tumblr it's generally understood that 'transman' paired with 'homosexual' means a transsexual man attracted to other men so that's what mine says. The GC crowd there uses very violent language so I just don't engage.

Bisexual could also be technically true and cover my ass, and say 'I don't date women'......Thankfully, I'm in a committed relationship with a bisexual man so I don't have to worry about dating-
