nonresident U.S. citizen - passing citizenship to my kids

Lol wtf. You're still trying to argue?

You are again taking a little bit of knowledge and extrapolating it into something unrelated.

Joint sponsor refers to the income requirement that OP can meet by showing $32.5k/year income or assets 3x (for a spouse)or 5x (anyone else) above that.

If you're so sure "you can't immigrate anyone to the US without being in the US" then explain to me why the official State Department website has a guide for filing immigrant petitions while outside the US.

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/petition/submit-a-petition/filing-petitions-outside-the-us.html

OP would send the I-130s to the Chicago lockbox just like any other US citizen petitioner living outside the US has the right to.
