Noob here. Philosophy question.

For what it's worth, I've always felt the philosophy of cicada was just window dressing to draw people into the puzzle. Not that there is anything wrong with that if the aim was just to teach the next generation how to use pgp, then it's quite noble. There's not a great deal of coherence in the list of occult and pop culture references you find in the cicada puzzles. If you're looking for alt-occult thinkers Christopher Hyatt kindof tracks. The people at Cryptome would be a fit for the cypherpunk angle, they were cypherpunks before cypherpunks were a thing. Also if you're feeling brave, there's a guy in Chino who goes by the handle of Chris Titan. Word is, he's the man with plan. If you do happen to meet him, please ask him to post more.
