[Noob Questions]

  1. Where to spend vehicle certs depends on your play style and how many certs you have. The first level of deployment shield on your sunderer is a good investment. I would recommend running with a more experienced group and using their vehicles and not bothering about certing your own.
  2. Large bases are still important, but some of the chatter you hear is less relevant that it used to be because over time their importance has decreased. A few years ago, the rate at which you gained resources (nanites) was directly tied to which bases you held. Big bases gave more resources. Until very recently, most big bases took 7 minutes to take. This made it very easy for a group to waste 5 minutes there for a ghost gain allowing another group to come in and kick them out in the last two minutes. Today, even with many timers lowered to 5 minutes with all 3 points, they are still valuable because they are still easier to defend. How are 3 point bases easier to defend? Asside from layout, if the pop is 60% attackers and 40% defenders, the defenders if moderately well organized should be able to hold at least one point most of the time. If they can manage to hold one point most of the time, the cap now takes 15 mintues. That's 13 minutes that that 20% pop difference can be doing something else assuming they come save it in the last 2.
  3. Find an outfit you enjoy.
