It's weird that everyone keeps thinking the stimulus and minimum wage increases are the duty of the president or Vice President. It goes to show how fucking stupid our American citizenry are when it comes to understanding the power of the executive and legislative branches. Your stimulus and min wage increases are being held up by the senate because it needs 60 votes , a supermajority, and the democrats only have 51 votes possible. But since this requires 60 and two of the biggest pushbacks are $15 is too high and stimulus should only go to lower income taxpayers. So the blame rests solely on the Republican Party for the most part at this point. Joe man him is the only democrat really voicing concern about the stimulus and increase min wage.
