Norcal cycling: First Ride on the Specialized S-Works Tarmac SL7!

I just dropped 10k on my dream build. I booked an appointment with the shop (this was just after lockdown) to put the payment down in-store.

I couldn't stomach any food prior to going, I had stress/anxiety through the roof, and I was constantly second guessing the decision in the days / weeks before pulling the trigger. Eventually, I made the decision to go for it. I saved up for a long time, and I could afford it. I figure that I'll only be "fit" enough to get the most out of a world-tour level bike for a limited amount of time, and eventually I'll probably settle down and have a family so I won't be able to get a super high end bike then, so I just went for it.

As funny as it sounds, I felt a wave of relief after I made the payment - it was over with, and I could walk out with the excitement of knowing I'll soon own and enjoy an amazing bike.
