is it normal to be depressed over your future? (useless liberal arts major)

definitely understandable. I'm in a similar position and am currently at school working out my next steps too while studying a useless lib arts degree too.

I'd recommend working out what's most important to you - salary, work/life balance, intellectual stimulation, a prestige job - and think about what you can get from your career and how your life outside of work can be just as/even more fulfilling. like if you're currently dreaming being outdoors as a camp counselor then do you have any hobbies that could fulfil similar roles? do you want to get a really high paying, stressful job that gives you the income to then take a month a year off and go camping or would you rather having a quieter, calmer life overall, and finding peace that way.

obviously there are so many complex factors involved in all of these thoughts and decisions and I hope whatever path you go you find happiness and peace <3
