Is it normal to start reading the documentation, get bored and then try to go find a YouTube video on the topic?

YouTube is usually my last resort. It's more difficult for me to find content in which I want to apply. simply because it's always a 3rd party teacher with their own attached opinions and you never know who you're dealing with. . . I prefer the person who I'm learning from proves their compatince before I take their word. . . documentation is always what I like to focus on when I'm able to because it's usually written by the person who wrote the thing I'm using in the first place therefore they've already proved themselves competent in the subject . . . That's not to say YouTube is a bad environment per se more of a drug than anything because it rewards a short attention span and gives short term pleasure in which you believe you've learned alot but really have a minimal understanding of the technology which is already quite watered down, However I wouldn't be so quick to stray away from the docs unless I'm faceing major time constraints and honestly who cares if something is boring, I think the only reason it would be boring is if you're unable to understand what it's saying. there isn't anything wrong with that at least not when you're starting out, but one day you'll face new tech in which the only learning material you have is documentation and you'll be miserable when you do. . So you may want to consider applying alittle more discipline now so that you can consume any sort of content with relative ease. . ..that's also not to say all documentation is good tho haha. There are alot of sh*tty writers out there.
