North Korea says it may test hydrogen bomb over Pacific Ocean

Nuclear proliferation is not a good thing. Nuclear proliferation by unstable states is a danger to the world. The non-nuclear states have almost unanimously agreed by treaty not to develop nuclear arms. Pakistan is not a country that should ever have nuclear weapons and their nuclear arsenal is a major liability. The same can be said for India. North Korea is on a whole other level of tenuous stability and they also regularly threaten to attack other states with nuclear weapons. This is unacceptable behavior by any state with nuclear weapons and the only reason they have not been invaded is because China has a security council veto and no regard for sanctions. North Korea is building an arsenal while expressing an intent to forcibly re unify the peninsula and that is what's put them in Americas crosshairs. Nuclear weapons can be tolerated if developed by a state for defensive purposes, but North Korea is the only country developing them while publicly stating an intention to crack cities and annex sovereign neighbors
