North Van Transit / Lion's Gate Solution? Good, Bad or Terrible Idea?

Single-tracking the SkyTrain is out of the question. Even if it's just one station on the North side, that wait would frustrate a lot of people and overcomplicate the system a bit.

In the event of a third crossing built somewhere, converting the Lion's Gate entirely to pedestrian and SkyTrain would be feasible.

Alternately, we could consider building a second deck above the car traffic. I don't know how that would work though.

This is all pretty insane, though. I think the best option would be converting the current 555 bus into a proper freeway Bus Rapid Transit sort of deal and run it between Carvolth and Hastings, then improve the Ironworkers, stick it in a bus only lane, and connect it to Phibbs and the coming-soon Marine B-Line. Of course, doing proper BRT on Highway 1 means taking away a lane on the Port Mann, and people in Langley will legit riot.
