It's strange to me how often people who are Neurotypical assume that completely normal behaviors match the characteristics for Autism and other mental health conditions.

No, your relatively small Pokémon card collection is not a special interest. I'm so fascinated by meteorology that I developed a twelve-year-long photography hobby that now allows me to sell prints online. Your mild social awkwardness, while it may cause you problems, is not the same as having issues that make it near-impossible for you to talk to other people.

You don't have BPD because you yelled at your fiánce once in a heated argument. I never once yelled at my fiánce. We got married after five months despite the fact that I literally couldn't stand her half the time, because she yelled at me constantly. I would always end up begging her not to hate me, because I was that afraid of being alone. When she inevitably left after relapsing on drugs, I had to fight the urge to hurt myself so badly that I ended up in the hospital or the morgue.

I'm glad that people are willing to try to relate to some of these things, but assuming that they actually know what it's like just hurts us in the long run.
