I'm going to use the examples of Catholic Priest pedos here. Most of the priests who have been caught diddling kids likely did not have grotesque art, or were involved in spirit cooking, or gave of any indication that they would be a pedophile (other than the actual actions, of course). These men would likely have dozens of character witnesses from the local and church community praising them as godly men of virtue. On the surface it all looks great, and yet some of these men were molesting children for years.

Obviously it's currently only accusations against Moore, but that's where these things start. I'll wait for more to declare guilt or innocence but it seems strange to me that so many people want so badly to immediately declare him one or the other. I mean it's pretty clearly falling on party lines but what isn't these days.
