Around here their hacks that just use apprentices. I'm a tech so I have fun messing with them. The only product the know is the one they are using. If you ask anything outside of that its usaly Idk. When I first started landscaping I got a job as the round up guy at a company just like this. The reason I did round up is no one else had even basic plant ID knowage. I had to tech my boss plant names. So ya they don't pull from the most talented. Those guys work around here from sun up to sun down 6 days a week. I talked a guy he was making bank but dam the hrs. Now thats a entry level tech. If you can make that much working for a corp like that. Small landscape companies can pay even better and offer better hours. So most people get there full license and move on.
