That question goes both ways. I was okay with/expected girls to stop talking to when I was being so direct. Sometimes it helped more - other times it was worse. Just depends on the person, always be respectful and feel them out though.

I never asked that upfront or immediately, only after a few conversations and I can tell she is sort of into it.
