There hasn’t been any “healthy” discussion about changes from outside of Vanilla since day one. It’s always the same thing. Someone asks for changes to class balance so their class will be able to preform better, or they ask for QoL changes from other expansions, and then they say they’re only small changes that won’t effect the game much.

What they refuse to acknowledge, is the fact that there are 50 other people asking for different class balance changes, and another 50 people asking for different QoL changes, all of which they defend by saying “it won’t affect the game much”.

Whose changes should get implemented? Yours, because you believe yours are the most fair changes? Some other guy feels the same way about his changes. Do you believe all of the changes should be implemented? Do you honestly believe that a flood of class balance changes and QoL additions from other expansions won’t change the game much?

Then anyone who says they disagree with those suggested changes, because of the affect it will have on the game, is automatically dubbed an irrational “purist”.
