Not a great look for the government

I’m aware of the dates, their post seems to be regarding the fact that guidelines changed at this time to exclude drive in cinemas from operating. This was at the same time that non-essential retail, inter-country travel and other services like zoo’s reopened. I think their issue now is coming from the governments recent decision to just now clarify the legality of certain events, seemingly for the purpose of shielding ministers from backlash for attending these events.

There’s not many recreational events that are less risky than sitting in a car, away from other people, watching a film and I think this crowd are justified in their frustration.

They did have another post which may have clarified that a bit better, but this was just the most recent one I’ve seen
