Not that I'm wanting them to split up, but how have The New Day lasted so long without being split up?

New Day move a lot of merch. The Bar brings out the best in both men, better than their singles runs, even.

If you look at the main roster tag divisions right now, the majority of the teams have been together for quite some time. I know that I prefer the idea of long-term tag teams to the "throw two random singles guys together and hope for the best" approach and I think most other fans do, too. WWE probably knows that as well.

WWE did go through a time period not too long ago where it seemed like they were splitting up a tag team every other week. I wonder if keeping the tag divisions relatively stable now is a response to that? They rapidly thinned the herd and kept what they considered to be the cream of the crop.

The majority of the teams that they have now are pretty great in their respective roles (when they're given something to do), so I'm assuming that they see no need to split any of them up. And yeah, the singles divisions are pretty crowded right now, tag teams offer a safety net to guys who would be lost in the shuffle otherwise.
