Not 'just a suggestion': MMIWG report calls to give Indigenous people rights most Canadians enjoy already | CBC News

So you are admitting that your experience with native issues is by listening to a one sided inquiry.

You have spent no time on reserves, you haven't actively interacted with FN people meaningfully, you've been a passive observer in a process designed to hear only one side of the story.

Try coming on to a reserve and seeing all of the gorgeously designed health centers and water treatment plants that get built and neglected.

Come see the healthcare workers that get used and abused by people who call the ambulance for rides into town because they know the government will pay for it, then swear and abuse the paramedics and healthcare staff.

Come see the community health reps, people from the community take a well paying job meant to have community members trained to help their community, but show up only one day a week because they will be paid for a full week no matter what.

Come see the white people begging the patients to call the RCMP on the husband who just beat the shit out of them for the umpteenth time. But the patient decides to go back home, despite having more resources at their disposal than any normal Canadian.

Come see the houses full of mould and in horrible condition.....after being installed 1 year ago.

Come see the house fires due to meth labs exploding.

Come see the chiefs rolling up to community events in their 100,000 lifted pick up truck.

You haven't seen shit, and none of this is because of the white man.
