I think it’s safe to say that Funko couldn’t give less of a shit about FNAF, and it’s pretty evident when you compare the Funko action figures and the Mcfarlane sets. With McFarlane, you can tell they wanted to get every detail right.
Why do you think that? May I remind you that the every single rip and tear in the Theodore pop is perfect. Most of their products are amazing. Sure they don't get every detail correct, but McFarlane definitely gets a lot less correct.
Then you got Mr. I-Don’t-Give-A-Flying-Funko on the opposite side of the spectrum that make figures have minimal paint, and the paint that they do have is messed up most of the time.The paint on the tiny minifigures by McFarlane have more detail than anything Funko has ever made.
Actually I've seen quite a few paint mistakes on the McFarlane figures. They definitely have more than the minis do. Plus, who cares about a tiny little paint mistake?
What’s even worse is the fact that the stock photos are extremely misleading! The stock photo of foxy shows the eyepatch as sticking out, and that Jack O’ Chica is hollow and has wires sticking out!

They make unnecessary blacklight gimmick glow-in-the-dark recolors of toys so they can resell them for some of that moola.
May I remind you that Funko needs money. They are a company. If they want to make more molds, they need more money for those molds. Plus, most people find the blacklight characters pretty neat! So if tons of fans buy them, why wouldn't Funko make more?
They steal fan-made designs and can’t tell the difference between Fredbear and Golden Freddy.
Yeah, it was a shitty move of funkos part, but they have only done this once. Plus, Fredbear and golden Freddy are the same, so why would Scott care if the fredbear plushie was called golden Freddy?
I buy the figures myself for customization and other things, but I can’t help but ask why do we like their stuff? Yeah, they’re the best FNAF merchandise we have, but they sure as hell aren’t that great.
Almost everything they make is great. The plushies are debatable, but the figures, pops, minis, and most of their other merch has very few to no mistakes.
Imagine a collectors version of FNAF figures where they have posable jaws! Or get this, actually good paint application!
Because most of the figures are only 10 dollars and it would be much more expensive for posable jaws. I know this is your opinion, but you really shouldn't be so picky about tint mistakes. Most of the Funko merch looks spot on!
