Do NOT moderate your subs under your main username. Way too much drama and the admin's are NOT on your side.

You do know that not every subreddit allows all content right?

If specific links (ignoring subreddits) cause frequent commotions or are off topic. They will be blacklisted.

There is no inherent right to promote your subreddit all across reddit. Most subreddits grow slowly and with the backing of a twitter hashtag or the likes.

It's not at all easy to grow a subreddit. Blaming others, especially other subreddits, for your lack of users is a cheap excuse to tell yourself.

Just like there's no need for specific people to brigade your subreddit, mass report or try to do bad things to you or your community. Literally every single subreddit gets those. There are more than enough people who dislike whatever you're doing. Regardless of what you're doing. If it's political in any way, strap yourself in. Because that's the steroids package of harassment and abuse towards mods.

Most mods, among the defaults. Moderate multiple subreddits. Because frankly. They have nothing better to do than to moderate subreddits. That activity can be utilized by more than one subreddit. And since the rules and ideologies across the biggest subreddits are pretty similar (aka heavily left leaning, anti harassment, anti abuse, anti spam, etc). It's not a stretch that they would be accepted on the others as mods, given their activity is sufficient.

Admins barely do anything. And I mean that very literally. They barely do a thing. They don't grant wishes. They don't take action on their behalf. They don't intentionally overlook things.

The only difference is, that default mods are very, very regularly doxxed, threatened, reported in all possible ways, etc. So a report about them will probably not be looked at in as much depth, due to the sheer volume of meaningless reports that are sent in. That is the only difference. One that can be replicated, should you get mass reported for mundane comments.
