So you’re telling me that this guy, who stockpiled large caliber weapons, modified the stocks of some of those weapons to allow for full automatic functioning, rented a hotel room with multiple vantage points for days prior to a large music festival, setup surveillance in his room and in the hall to inform him both prior and during the shooting of approaching individuals, used shooting stands to assist for aiming over a large distance, was deemed a normal individual with no red flags by more than one source including his own brother and gun shop salespeople, suffered from mental illness and that is what is to blame? It could be genetic, that’s your cop out? That is calculated and meticulous planning. Don’t insult his victims. This guy clearly had an agenda and was coherent enough to see it through to the extreme end. The aurora movie theatre shooter tried the same bullshit and didn’t get executed because someone like you on the jury expressed the “he didn’t know what he was doing” narrative.
