Not sure if this is leftist or anarchist ideology?

Opposition to lockdowns on the left is more than likely informed by anti-authoritarian principles which is closer to anarchism, but there are also leftist criticisms of lockdowns which highlight the inability of a neo-liberal state to put the basic needs of people before the needs of the economy.

Anarchists, of course, consistently oppose more or less every action the state is going to take and especially if it infringes the little freedoms we have to begin. Anarchists would also encourage people to wear masks in public, stay home as much as possible and help out your neighbors in this tough time however you can.

I think its valid to aknowledge that while lockdowns can help reduce infection rates so that hospitals aren't overwhelmed, lockdowns also have significantly negative material and psychological effects and especially for the more destitute and forgotten segments of the population, and that lockdowns are fundamentally authoritarian measures which the state can too easily construct justifications for.

Still, I'm not gonna go out protesting lockdowns as long as those who protest lockdowns in my city are a mix of hippie-liberals, anti-vaxxers, right-libertarians, free speech absolutists and the occasional far-right media personality as well as a handful of nazis attempting entryism.

However, if a curfew is imposed and it results in riots, then I'll most likely be supporting rioting youth against the police.
