Yes. This. Choosing to go to law school isn’t based entirely on how much money you’re going to make upon graduating. This is a career you’re going into. Something that you’re going to do for the rest of your life. It’s a much more complex decision than the simple-minded approach of, “what kind of financial return can I get out of this?” Because if that were the sole question, there are many other choices that make more sense, obviously.

Seriously consider law school if you want to be a lawyer. Be cognizant of the relationship between what type of law you want to practice (and which type of law you’re likely to practice) and the debt you’re taking on.
