Seems like the reason so many people are going hardcore on being shitty about the US is because they are disappointed it's not the dreamland they were told it was as kids. They want it to be better so it can be a place of hope again.

However. It's a very large, influential country made up of many separate goverments, and near impossible to manage. Yet compared to places like China, Russian, Korea, Mexico, most African countries, and a good chunk of the middle east, it's a paradise for the people. We in the US get judged on a much harsher curve than most...so sorry we cant live up. You can still come here to escape your actually oppressive governments though...its just more difficult at the moment.
