Let's start slow. The yankees need to start off by winning their next 3, that gives them 6-4 in last 10, 7-5 in last 12, but it would make them 7-8 in their last 15, and 10-10 in their last 20. If the yankees do win their next 3, then we can basically turn back the clock 15 games and find that the point where they fell off was when they dropped the 1st of two straight losses to Boston at Fenway. So at this point the yankees have winning stretches in their last 10 and 12 games, losing stretch in their last 15, and 500 baseball in their last 20. This is a bit erratic, but one thing is for certain with a win against the orioles tomorrow, and a two game sweep of the mets, we can pinpoint that the yankees would be playing winning baseball. They would be playing just barely over 500, but they would need to keep racking up those wins in large quantities, to get to a point, where we as fans can say without a doubt they are no longer in a slump, and smoking hot going into August.
