To not-White, Polish, Slavic, Jewish, Homosexual, Gypsy, and other potential targets of Nazi-type persecution, what are your thoughts on PC Master Race?

Oh, it was this particular one! They just happened to unsticky it, oops.

The thing that makes privilege a hard thing for people to understand is that yes, it exists, and if you are white, then yes, it has probably worked in your favour without you knowing. That's it, that's all there is, you are favoured because you are white. That is not racism, white racism isn't a thing--White people don't need to pretend to be another race to get their resumes simply in the door. A white person's voice overpowers all, and that is not equality. But look! When we talk about it, a bunch of people jump on us for being racists against white people! Not all whites! But white privilege is not exclusive to wage, sex/gender, anything... the fact that you don't live in fear for walking down the street and fear being stopped by police for no reason means you have privilege. If more people understood this, the world would be infinitely improved.

Getting kind off topic from PCMR tho, but I'm interested to know if you've had anything racist said against you for living in that area/time. Of course, unless we are fully immersed in the UK and living there on a day to day basis, it would be hard for us to perceive the underlying racism that might exist there.

I've always thought PC Master Race was kind of a weird thing to say about your PC rofl. I mean, I knew it was how PCs are objectively, technologically better than consoles, but I've always felt that the connotation was kinda bad lol. I actually did think that. But now that I am on this sub, and I've seen the kind of posts that go through, I know that PCMR isn't about any kind of supremacy (race-wise). But I can vividly remember when I haven't 'ascended' yet, that I thought Master Race was a pretty rude thing to say, because if you're not master race, then you're lesser. How's that for internet connotations?

So I don't think Tyler Wilde is too off the mark, but the way he wrote his article comes off way too vigilante and has too much call-to-action for the internet to like. People don't like his tone, and truthfully, neither do I. He's not in a place to call out a whole group of people, because he has no insider's knowledge on the matter. If he had joined the subreddit, stayed for a while, he would've realized that none of the negative connotations actually exist on this subreddit, and that article would not have existed at all. Walk a mile in someone else's shoes, right?
