Hello Fabio, In order to give you a better understanding of my answers to your questions, let me give you some background about me and what I'm doing today. I am a 55 year self-taught computer scientist (my only diploma is a "maturità" in Maths/Physics) and it has been quite a surprise to be able to join the company I'm working for today : Dassault Systèmes. We're a software/scientist company and within this company I'm in charge of the technical expertise on IBM TM1 at a worldwide level. So beside the facts that I've got a lot of meetings to attend, I do code quite often in order to enhance the user experience of my user community.
This being said, here is where Notable has helped me to be more efficient at work. At this time, our R&D didn't deliver any note taking application and so we do rely on OneNote in order to keep meeting minutes, code snippet, any kind of note. For me, Notable is much more efficient in many ways : * the file format (text file) allows the note to be backuped or sync between computers very easily * you can include pieces of code in a note and it will remain consider as code and not as note text * you can search through all the notes easily * tagging is another great features which allow to keep a clean notebook structure * the rendering is quite clean and modern * ...
What I'm missing right now is : * an easiest way to include images within a note. Today I use FSCapture to copy the portion of the screen I want to include in my note, I save it in the "attachements" folder, I copy the filename and finally I add the right MD tag in order to include the image in my note. If, once the image is in the clipboard, I was able to paste it over a Notable note and it creates automatically the attachment file and the MD tag automatically, it would be great. * a better PDF export quality format as it is the way today I send my notes to my colleagues
I like to share with other so, quite often in meetings, I do some advertising for Notable. I also do the same when people are asking what is my meeting note software. There a few people here at the company who start looking at Notable so I could try to ask them what they think of it. I'm also part of Mensa and on our Facebook/LinkedIn groups we do often share what we do find as smart software/games... so it's a place where I can promote Notable and I'll probably do.
I'm thinking about developing a code that will produce MD documentation from the information I'll extract from all our TM1 databases and I'll search an "engine" which will allow me to transform this MD documents in a PDF single document.
About the fact that there's going to be a subscription-based service on top of the free product, I'm quite confused on how it compares to Patreon and which service it will provides. I'm already giving 2 USD through Patreon and even if it's a really small amount of money, the good point, IMHO, is that it will goes on for a while and if every Notable user was doing so, I think that it could be more comfortable for you.
