A note of thanks for our healthcare system

Well when your patient has tried to kill themselves from the pain perhaps the status quo isn't working.

Regarding the collapsing spinal chord it's because the spinal fusion (Paid for privately from health insurance my mum had from an employer.) isn't holding after 20 years. The same spinal fusion the public doctors said she didn't need until she mentioned she had health insurance and they referred her to the right specialists because to quote the doctor "One paid car accident and your spine could sever".

Right now they have her on a yearish waiting list to see a specialist.

The reason her spine is fucked is because her GP as a child didn't listen to her complaints about her back and brushed it off as nothing until her spinal curve from scoliosis was noticeably from her just standing there which at that point was to late for preventive treatment to fix. So her back is fucked for life because of a lazy arrogant shit head GP who refused to listen to a patients multi year long complaints.

Her spine did have effective treatments available 30 fucking years ago, her spine had effective treatments available 20 years ago they wouldn't pay for. Her spine likely still has effective treatments available today but they'll fuck about for a few more years and let it deteriorate even further, and we're not trusting their opinions on the matter considering they wrong the last two times or were to lazy the last two times.

There was also the family friend who had lung problems for years and when they finally checked it after years of complaints he had stage three lung cancer and was dead in 4 months. It would've likely been survivable if they listened to his complaints as well when he raised them.

My grandfather also killed by incompetency from our wonderful public healthcare. He mentioned over the 2-3 years before his heart attack his heart was being fun and he had rheumatic heart fever as a child (Which even a layman knows leaves scaring on the heart and means that you need to be extra careful regarding heart health) they said he was every time and not to worry about it. Well dropping dead at 55 isn't the sign of a fine heart.

In my family and social circle it's generally fuck ups, laziness and neglect which cripples or kills people we know. With them only excelling when my dad got hit by a drunk fuck (Which caused the nerve injury but hey at least he didn't die on the spot so points for that) and fixing my grandmother when a speeding fuck plowed into her car and killed her partner.

But you know they help people hit by cars well so they have that going for them and I wont deny that's a field of expertise they're good at. But honestly fuck them, and fuck the cunt politicians who under fund them which is why they're so chronically useless unless you're bleeding to death.
