Notes on Hyper Light Drifter Mysteries

I'm going to structure this post as a running commentary, paragraph for paragraph. Now I love you've contributed to the lore discussion but I have some gripes with your post.

Ok so there's no lore is dark souls? Alright, you heard it here first... seriosuly tho there is lore in dark souls, more so than in this game, to say otherwise is objectivley wrong. DS1 is about starting the cycle. Especially with the release of DS2 Frist Sin that tells us about the nature of the cycle by Aldia. We're yet to see dark souls 3 but I assume it's about breaking the cycle.

We concluded the drifter MIGHT be dreaming long ago, but decided that it's just boring to state It's all a dream. This is your interpirtation not fact. This is also why many state that the into is a vision or dream and when we wake up we're in the "Real world" game speaking.

This next paragraph is pure speculation. And I mean absolute pure. The only evidence or logic is the name of the game? The sword is phase shifted hard light. But not everything changes when he warps, some things stay the same.

This paragraph is simple fact. This world needs a hero, but not the drifter they deserve, the bt they need.

This next paragraph I also agree with, the Blue race was involved in wars long ago so I see sence that some could fear the race. This same fear could have lead to the blue on the east side of town getting beaten.

Ok, I like the inclusion of protector of tombs. But let's clear somthing up right now. Just becuse there's a perceived cycle in any game does not mean there's no meaning. Good? Ok.

I agree with your reasoning about death symbolism and the inevitability of it. I think this is what the devs had in mind. I also agree with the hidden moral dileamas in your actions to end your quest. The north and east bosses were clearly evil though. The west one... not so much.

Ok the west boss was revealed to be dead all along? Where did you get that?

"There's no story." Unfortunatly you are objectivly wrong. Even if the game is a cycle. Each cycle has a beggining, a middle and end. You wake up, kill some dudes, die. That in itself is a story. True there are pollitical comments and I wish you'd focused more on them.

The fifth Titan is not like the others. I went into detail on why this might be on my lore thread.

An interesting speculation but speculation none the less. You don't know for sure we're even time traveling, let alone that those are our past corpses. I thought you said that there was way too much of this?

So wait... you haven't actually read the monoliths? Or the follow up text? And you're making this thread... Ok.

More speculation about the AI. While it's certainly probable, it is just speculation.

I agree with your conclusion though, that the story is just a medium for accessing modern issues. I wish you'd spent more time on descibing the issues the game covers.
