The Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris is burning and being destroyed right now. As an European, do you feel like you're losing a part of your culture, or is more foreign to you?

I watch alot of Time Team, and one thing ive learned is that no buildings are permenant(no matter how big).. So 850+ years is very good run, its really not the end of the world as history never stops, something else always comes after. But being brutally honest: It holds no special significance or importance or meaning to me. I mean jts just a cathedral ultimately, and they're a dime a dozen in Europe. I feel like some of the reaction to this fire is a bitt ott, and its only because of where it is. Nobody would care if it was in Eastern Europe or even further afield etc. So yes its unfortunate it went up in flames, but its the nature of very old wooden buildings. Theyre tinder boxes. Often times its a matter of when not if it bursts into flames. I look at this being merely another chapter in the buildings long history, its nothing to get so upset about.
