And now this

I agree with most what you say, but I'm pretty sure you know that, since I couldn't be any clearer on my stance regarding racism.

How did you know the title if you couldn't find the title. Or, did you make that original post with it available, but without looking it up or even paying enough attention to remember anything about it?

That's exactly how was. Here is what I wrote:

Seriously tho, this does sound super racist, from the title at least!

My point was not if this comic is good or bad or about the content of the comic (that's why I didn't find it necessary to look it up before commenting), my point was just, that I could easily imagine someone thinking of racism, when reading just the title posted by OP. Not to defend the person in the screenshot making some Hitler comparison, but to remind people that racism is not just the discrimination against black people, but also the whole construct of differentiating people by the color of their skin. My example with white people here was obviously to point out the problem, that this headline alone has the potential to look pretty provocative. I'm a Social Scientist and it just stirs me a bit, when I get the feeling that people throw these terms around without considering what they really grasp, since it makes any sophisticated discussion about the causes and effects of issues like racism next to impossible. I do realize tho that a sub like this might not be the right place to call people out on provocative and satirical intepretations of statements by people who get triggered when it comes to black superheroes.

I do not want to compare this to the BLM movement or accuse the movement of worsening anything, since it's purpose is to point the a bad status quo, which is a whole different point imo.

Moreover, a premise is not a normative statement. "There should be a race of mutant superheros" is not an appropriate takeaway from X-Men.

I agree and I didn't alledge this comic of doing so.

I do believe that the equality of all people should be the ultimate goal of anti-racism and to achieve that I see a problem in making everything about race. I think it's a good thing to have super heroes of color (especially for an American audiance) and to make sure to have every ethnicity represented in comics, so that not every kid has to look up to a white super a hero and somehow get the impression that only white people can be heros, but on the other hand I don't think it's healthy to have black superheroes whos main identity is that they are black, since this doesn't contribute to that ultimate goal of the equality of all people. (not that I'm saying that this is all this comic is about, but it's certainly imaginable with that title)
