I mentioned in my feedback about the shot of you at the table and being focused on the window(which was your light source). It may seem hypocritical of me to mention that when I'm also using an intense side lighting setup but it all comes down to how you use that light source and how you're framing your subject matter to control and guide the viewer's eye! Check out the rule of thirds in photography and blocking in film for some good initial resources with frame composition. But no matter how much you study and find it's also important to remember that these "rules" are really just guidelines and assistance. Some of the greatest photographs floating around out there broke all of those rules. I'll toss some links down below real quick for some examples!
