Now that the beginner guides are mostly gone.... Can we work together to come up with community approved routines?

[–]windowpane 10 points 3 hours ago*  Nivea creme in the blue tin. Edit: to expand on Nivea creme--it's wonderfully occlusive and goes on thick at first and then turns watery. I use it as the last step in my moisturizing routine with thinner moisturizers underneath, like my humectants and emmoilient (spelling?) moisturizers. It's also dirt cheap! permalinksaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]Kittycat-banana 3 points an hour ago  This stuff is really amazing. Not the best of you are in a rush, but if you are able to slather it on and wait for it to soak in. Ohhoo how soft and moisturized your skin will be! permalinksaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]yogapantsareforever 3 points an hour ago  Can I ask how this fares for people who are acne prone? I'd like to hear some opinions good or bad, thanks permalinksaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]FlipFlopNinja9 2 points 56 minutes ago  It's awesome! The reason I tried it in the first place is because the cerave that is so highly recommended gave me closed comedones. Now I sleep with nivea on every night, and very little acne. Yes it is extremely thick and greasy. Yes it smells like old lady perfume. Get the tiny 97¢ travel tin at Walmart and see if you like it! permalinksaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]yogapantsareforever 1 point 53 minutes ago  Great thanks. After I recently started breaking out again when I switched to cerave cream I'm worried it's causing it. I really want to get the tube version I've seen on Amazon, seems easier than using a little spatula for the tin! Bit pricier though permalinksaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]Korarchaeota 2 points 52 minutes ago  I'm extremely acne prone and sensitive and it's one of the few moisturizers I've tried that works for me. Some people do have problems with the lanolin and fragrance though. permalinksaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]abyssiniancatbird 4 points 3 hours ago  I use quite a bit of product, but I hope this can help. I'm also prone to atopic dermatitis, so it is both very dry and sensitive. I also live in a dry climate; those who live in humid climate probably don't have to use as much product.
