Now that Deathloop has been out for a bit, what do we think of it?

For me, my main issues were that, firstly, it feels really weak. Karnesis requires you to aim (albeit with lots of leeway) in the vicinity of your target, which at that point why not just blow them away with your tricked out legendary weapon instead of spending your Power?

Secondly, and this is just personal opinion, but I feel like Karnesis sorely lacked some sort of really crunchy feedback. In practice, Karnesis just kinda awkwardly flings an enemy in a direction of your choosing. More often than not, that fall is lethal, even if it's like 3 or 4 feet, and they die with a unceremonious dialogue bark and then their body just dissapears.

It feels like it's missing something in terms of how the power affects your enemies. Since combat can be made incredibly trivial by default, that lack of feedback makes Karnesis feel sorely underwhelming.

Maybe it's unfair, but contrasting that with Rat Swarm or Possession from Dishonored, two powers with both mechanical depth (you can possess enemies to bypass guards, summon rats to clear bodies or distract) and flavor (Possession's creepy Outsider whispering and the very nature of Rat Swarm's summoning of plague rats make the Outsider's powers feel dark and straight up evil.

Anyway, sorry for the rant. Different strokes, definitely don't hold my opinion as gospel, just my own rambling. Also: RIP bend time </3
