Now, I'm curious, Myrla, kissing, your opinion, and what generation are you?

Late 20's so older millennial here. I agree with other comments saying that it's not just about generation. I'm Indian and a I went to high school in a place where the evangelical movement was STRONG. Like 1/3rd of my sr. class didn't go to prom because it was sinful and went to an event that their church put on instead. So yeah, a lot of people I knew had a similar attitude towards kissing as Myrla did. Even though I didn't share their attitudes, I definitely slowed my roll because of what was the norm around me.

When I first started college, I dated a very religious Muslim and he came from a similar place. We didn't kiss until months into it. Then I got involved in the punk scene and leftist organizing and would make out w/ people casually all the time. What's normal depends on who you're around and what's going on.
