Now that some time has passed, what do people think of the Star Wars saga (Episodes 1-9) as a whole?

It's crap. I hated it in the 80's, already. The only valuable one has always been The Empire Strikes Back and everyothers have always been crap for dumb kids and merchandising. Later for theme parks.

Characters and stories have never been developped in the movies to focus on action. So they developped all their universe onto board games and spinoff novels to pretend they cared about it, but they didn't. They just wanted to sell board games...

Prequels were catastrophics since the only point interesting people, after 9 hours of shit, was how Anakin became Darth Vador. It was the only plot and those movies were pathetic cash machines that didn't respect the fan base.

Sequels was close to get better characters and FXs, but Abrams ruined them with terrible arcs and slaughtered every single plot of the entire saga to make it a sort of retard video game, with a treasure hunt and a loop of unrelated scenes leading to a WTF Konami level monster who has no reason to exist.

Star Wars has always been junk food for kids: just buy more shit and shut up. Not quality science-fiction.
