Now when all the major content for Odyssey have been released - what is your opinion on Odyssey and its direction?

Odyssey was the first AC game I ever played. My fiancé bought the game and I knew I had to try it because of my inner history geek and fascination with ancient Greece. I absolutely loved the character of Kassandra/Alexios. Very well-developed, likable, not to mention hilarious at certain points. I feel like the game balanced the serious and not so serious elements very well. As someone who’s new to RPGs and new to AC (and also as someone who’s slowly starting to become actually good at video games), I feel like this game was very easy to get into. I loved the combat mechanics, very fluid and easy to learn for someone who’s not so great at gaming lol.

Honestly, my biggest complaint is with Layla and the modern day arc. I hate her, lol. I started playing Origins a couple of months ago and she was still annoying to me. When the AC3 remaster came out, I also started playing it and immediately felt like Desmond was 1000% better as a protagonist. Sure, he can be a little stale, but I at least sympathize with him and actually care about him. By the end of the Atlantis DLC, I could not stand another minute of Layla. I’ve heard the theory floating around that Ubi might be trying to set her up as the next main antagonist and I believe that would be a genius move on their part. I think it’s very fitting for what she’s shown her character to be.

All in all, 100% enjoyed Odyssey and will definitely be playing it more if new content is added. I’m definitely gonna miss our Misthios and the beauty of Greece. For now, I’m on to finishing Origins and trying to keep my sanity when I have to endure more Layla lol
