Jfc. So I delt with some sexual abuse as a child (4-5 years old) by my cousin. Long story short, my dad knew what was happening and would get upset. But still bring me back over there. I still wanted to go bc I didn’t know any better.

Fast forward to me being 25 in a heated argument with my dad and I bring up the fact that he kept bringing me over there when he knew what was happening and his response was “well you asked me to go over there so we did” LIKE WHAT?!

But he’ll talk shit about my aunt protecting her son who was hurting his sister, who was in turn hurting me as a result. But doesn’t see anything he did wrong. Also talked shit about my aunt wouldn’t report it bc it was her son.... but now that I’ve gotten even older I’m like wait, why didn’t YOU report what was going on? And why did you keep bringing me then?? Being complacent is just as bad.
