It is almost as if there are large socioeconomic differences between the two countries. The huge majority of gun deaths are due to gang violence, which we have a lot more of down here than you do in Canada. In your previous comment you were talking about mass shootings, which is what I was addressing anyways.
If I use this page for the USA and this page for Canada then the USA has had 471 deaths due to mass shootings in the years 2013-2018, while Canada has had 48. So the USA has 0.024 deaths due to mass shootings per 100,000 people per year, while Canada has 0.021.
Not much of a difference there.
