NRI's of randia, is life abroad really that good?

your response is the typical village idiot coming to the US story and you made a point about only one part of what I said....

If by village idiot you mean someone from a lower middle class family making 20k a month in India, yes I am. I am not ashamed of it. I am proud of how far I have come in life.

but who watches your kids when you are both working Work life balance here is so much better than India. My company has 9 months paid maternity leave for example and 2 months paternity leave. Do companies in India give this? I dont know. And you are not required to work on weekends here.

how will you pay for you kids education

1) Assuming you read my entire post, if you are making that kind of money, paying for college is not big deal if you save. Assuming you save 500$ a month every year, you will have 60k minimum saved in 10 years for their college. Highschool is free anyway.

2) You dont need 20 years to pay off your loans. I paid of my $40k in 2 years.

what happens when you pay off your house after 30 years and you are living of your 401K.

401k is supposed to be for retirement. It is supposed to be 5-15% of your income. You are supposed to save some and invest some too other than 401k which is not very hard. Another 20% of your income you should be saving assuming you put 5-10% for your 401k. Investing money wisely can make you a fortune. This+your 401k+ worst case social security benifits, you are ok for retirement. You can retire very well.

and the area where you own multi million house has slowly turned into a ghetto and the house is falling apart because it is made by builder grade crap material put together by an untrained illegal Mexican

WAT.. I like your optimism. You seriously expect a million dollar neighborhood to turn into a ghetto? with that kind of optimism, yeah sea levels will rise, world will turn into a ghetto, zombies will roam free, and apocalypse will fall upon us. Whats the point of living, abandon ship now everyone! lol

and your 40 year old kids are still in the process of finding them selves because in the US thats normal

no its not. Only in the poorer parts it is. Depends on your parenting. All my american born cousins are aceing it because their parents can take care of their finances, so they can go to grad school not worry about money, do PhD for 5 years and not worry about finances etc

i am glad people like you left India and came here.....less stupid people i have to deal with in India....

I am a little concerned that people like you have returned to India.
