NS lifeguard gives tourists a dressing down after they ignore warning to stay out of the water and try to paddle out at Pipeline

I visited Maui for the first time when I was 8. I have such an appreciation and respect for these islands. Over those years, I took on the appearance of the epitome of a white Haole without the pink tan or tank top. Bald, beard, slightly bigger than average. These dudes don’t help me lol Locals have never been anything but respectful with the exception of the drunk guy yelling at all the tourists. Take it from someone who never lived there but visited twice a year for 20 years. LEARN, RESPECT and appreciate when someone gives you advice yo… It’s not an attack. Those dudes would be eaten alive on the North shore…

Pro Tip visiting Hawaii: Don’t Google where to find the best beaches or the best place to post your Instagram pics. Look up the most historic places, the locally owned places, places rich in culture. Respect the place you’re in before you reap all the rewards of a place of pure beauty and paradise.
