NSFW Argument between ex husband and wife turns joint custody to sole custody. News story in comment.

The other guy was fucking assaulting him. He fired a warning shot. The other man lunged at him. He shouldn't have fired, but the other man shouldn't have trespassed private property, get aggro after being asked multiple times to leave, and when the guy finally brings out a gun as a last resort - he lunges at him. The other man should have aimed for the arms or legs, not the chest. The first man should have had his temper under control. He was on PRIVATE PROPERTY. He ATTACKED FIRST, and DID NOT stop. Was the second guy supposed to let him wrestle the gun away? If an aggressive person was threatening my loved ones, and after multiple asks they refused to leave and attacked me, I'm not going to sit there and take it, like a lot of people here are implying what the killer should have done. A gun was excessive, but so was trespassing and assault. Ex-husband had a divorce lawyer and settlement for this. This was neither the time nor place to settle the issue, he broke laws, threatened the safety of the man's WIFE, and ASSAULTED the man. He was literally asking for it. LITERALLY. NOT FIGURATIVELY. I can get behind no charges being filed.
