It was kind of our second date I guess, our first had just been meeting up for coffee to see if we wanted to get to know each other, and on his part to see if he wanted to break it off with this other girl he had just started dating to see me? I guess I should have seen that as a weird red flag... but anyways.

We had talked on skype for a while before ever meeting up because he had a job that had him out of town often, and on skype things had been pretty alright, aside from a few out of left field comments from him about what he didn't like about my photography (i work as a photographer). The whole "don't hate me but this picture is horrible" shit. Which already pissed me off.

So he wants to meet up, but wants me to drive through town to where HE wants to go for lunch, which is a 15-20 minute drive for me, and absolutely refuses my suggestion of a restaurant a bit closer to me because he's not driving all the way to that restaurant (no more than a 15 minute drive for him either..) but its fine to make me drive wherever. He was getting all snippy and bitchy with me on the phone and just like eventually hung up on me like see you there. So we meet up where he wants to go and I'm also like trying to get ready to leave for a small weekend trip I had planned so I had errands to run afterwards but he's trying to convince me to go get ice cream with him after and to come see his new place he's just moved into, saying "you have time, you totally have time". It was just fucking weird and unsettling and hard to say no.

So I agreed I could at least go get ice cream and I follow him in my own car and he drives not to the ice cream place but to where his new apartment is, which turns out he's just renting a room from a random middle aged woman, like just a room in her condo. a tiny room. He's trying to get me to sit on his bed and I was like ha no. I finally convince him that I'm not going to sit down with him, meanwhile he's like hugging me and all of this stuff which was just awkward so we go to get ice cream FINALLY, and the last straw is we're sitting there eating and watching kids eat theirs, and I had previously expressed to him that I don't really want kids, and he's saying to me "oh my god how can you not want a kid, look how cute they are, are you sure?" in a loud voice, which is so awkward for me, meanwhile he's trying to slide an arm around me while I'm sitting with my entire body facing him in like a T position, while he says "mine!" like the seagulls from finding nemo.

I was finally able to leave, and stopped responding to his messages when he started to send me texts while I was away on my trip.. feel like I dodged a bullet.
