Probably the time there was an bomb explosion at my school
October 2009.Terrorism is rampant.My city is being targeted particularly and security is on red alert.Schools are being specially targeted.Parents afraid to send kids to school. But for some reason they aren't being closed because of some 'We aren't afraid' bullcrap.
I was in the 6th grade and there was a new kid in our class so I was sort of introducing him to the school.It was the English lesson and for some reason our teacher had to go out and the school coordinator was in the class just looking over us until our teacher came back.
Thruuuuuummm
We hear a huge explosion.Everyone freezes. It seemed to be coming from a distance.An immense sound of glass being shattered which sort of woke us from the trance we were in.Out coordinator is horrified, frozen even.We've had drills for these kind of situations so we immediately bolt for the door but our coordinator blocks us fearing an attack on the school.
"God have mercy" she says.
Other teachers scream at us to get the hell out of the building. We are still thinking that the schools been invaded and were being atackedt.Kids are crying,teachers trying their best to keep it together.We,being the highest grade in the school,were told to keep it together too for the little ones and were in charge of keeping them unafraid.
Teachers on the phone,guards on the roof kids running to their siblings.We prayed to God to save us.We just don't know what's happening. That was the worst part of it, man.Not knowing. Not knowing if the schools being attacked or not. Not knowing if their was an army of terrorists outside our walls or if their already in our school .
After 40 of the worst minutes of my life we are ushered back into our classes still in shock.
Everybody went home early .It was an attack on intelligence service building near our school iirc.Schools were closed for few months after that.Unfortunately through, things haven't gotten any better,worse even.
I spent the days off playing Farmville and Bully and reading.
