NSW recorded 1,533 new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8pm last night.

So i got COVID from a friend who was part of my social bubble where I am otherwise very isolated and careful (I wear a mask outside at all times where I see the majority won't. I found out he was very blase about stopping infection such as visiting all his friends and family, not wearing a mask, etc. Wasn't even vaccinated.

I was double jabbed at the time of infection (but very recently i.e. less than 2 weeks ago) and the difference is I only had very mild symptoms which were barely noticeable (I wouldn't have even gotten tested if he didn't tell me he was +) whereas he is very sick and in pain all over.

Given this, with high vaccination rates, when we get out of lockdown i predict we will have extremely high case numbers but very few of those infections will actually make fully vaccinated people properly sick.
