The number of Chopin pieces that have been slaughtered by famous pianists trying to show off is embarrassing

I didn't say that in my post, I should've expanded further, but I've already done do several times in replies. The gist of what I'm getting at is that these pianists are ignoring clear tempo indications in favor of speeding up at a point in the piece in which it doesn't make sense to speed up. I'm thinking about recording a video of how I prefer the expressivo and leggiero sections of Scherzo No. 2 to help get my point across. I don't inherently have. Problem that they're playing quickly, its just that they're playing so quickly that there's barely any time to hear the harmonic changes and they have little room to articulate and tell a story with the music their playing. The pianist I mention in my post does an amazing job at this despite playing just as fast as the rest.
