If you think it's easier to get illegal drugs than to get alcohol then I believe you are sorely mistaken (it's simply not true). So you are saying laws that deter people from supplying alcohol to minors are good but the laws that deter people from supplying drugs to minors (or everyone) are not good? I don't follow your argument.

We do have to think of the children because they are more prone to be influenced (by peer pressure) to try new things. Also because addictions at such a young age can be extremely dangerous and can destroy your life even before you start to live it.

I'm tired of hearing the ex. of Portugal , every country is different and have different societal and cultural norms. I could give you an example of the exact opposite. A country with an even stricter war on drugs, longer prison sentences and censorship of anything drug related and drug paraphernalia. That country also is one of the safest in the world (it's Cuba btw).
