I worked in a nursing home owned by nuns, they had sisters that were a big part of the running of the place and some that were nurses so they could help out if needed but weren't on schedule. They had a section of the building basically off limits to men, there is a secret floor of elderly nuns. They had female nurses I have never met and female aids I never met. I as a Male was only allowed to escort some of the older free roaming nuns back to the common room, it was odd because you could only get there by knowing an unmarked elevator button went there and then you needed a password as soon as you got off because the door opened to a door basically. They had a section for Fathers also on a different floor not hidden, but they would let them be on a normal resident floor if they wanted, otherwise they would be stationed around the monastery.
